What is
chiropractic?
Chiropractic is
a drug-free, non-surgical method of treating or preventing
disease. It is a system of health care that releases one of
the most serious forms of stress from your body: the
vertebral subluxation complex can affect your nerves,
muscles, internal organs, discs, bones and brain and weaken
your overall health.Chiropractic
has become the largest drugless health care profession in
the world because it has helped millions of people recover
from sickness, disease and disability and minimized the use
of drugs and surgery in their lives!
What
chiropractic techniques do you use?
Busch Chiropractic Center
applies various proven and effective techniques that are
board certified
Is
chiropractic care safe?
Yes. Statistics
prove that chiropractic care is one of the safest types of
healthcare in the world.
Does it hurt to get
adjusted?
No. Chiropractic adjustments feel great. I am confident that
once you begin receiving your adjustments, you will begin to
look forward to them. They will become one of the highlights
of your week. When you allow the vertebrae in your spine to
return to their proper position, you will notice much less
stress and tension.
What age can
benefit from chiropractic care?
All ages. Infants through senior
citizens. All through life, we experience traumas, from
birth, childhood falls, work related wear and tear, vehicle
accidents, and injury to disc disease and arthritis.
Chiropractic should be started at a young age, as many
common conditions have their beginnings with earlier injury
or trauma.
Will
pregnancy interfere with chiropractic care?
Chiropractic care is save for
most pregnant women. After a complete orthopedic exam and
consultation, pregnant mothers benefit extensively from
relief of back pain and sciatic pain.
What is
DRS™/Axial Decompression and what conditions can be helped?
DRS™
(Decompression, Reduction and Stabilization) is a
state-of-the-art technology protocol used to gradually
relieve disc compression and other related disc conditions
often associated with low back pain: herniated and bulging
disc, degenerative disc disease, sciatic pain, facet
syndromes, numbness and tingling of the legs and even
relapsed or failed back surgeries. During the initial
consultation, lumbar X-rays and a complete orthopedic exam,
it will be determined if a patients condition qualifies for
DRS. Lumbar X-rays or MRI's are required.

What causes the
sound made during a chiropractic adjustment?
That sound is not your spine
"cracking" or "popping" like most people think. That sound
is created by gas (in this case, nitrogen) rushing in to
fill the partial vacuum created when the joints are slightly
separated. Another example of this phenomenon would be the
"pop" sound you hear when the cork is taken out of a
champagne bottle. Not all chiropractic adjusting techniques
produce this noise. In fact, some adjusting techniques use
little force and thus produce no noise at all.
Once you see a
chiropractor, do you have to go for the rest of your life?
No. The extent to which you choose to
benefit from your chiropractic care is ultimately up to you.
Each & everyone of us is solely responsible for the quality
of our health & well-being. However, we do strongly urge all
practice members to consider lifetime, wellness chiropractic
care. This is where the long-term, lasting benefits of care
are enjoyed. Regular exercise & healthy eating habits are a
lifestyle decision and so is lifetime, wellness chiropractic
care. You need to remain subluxation free for life.
